Alejandro Gomez is a former principal ballet dancer from Venezuela. He danced professionally for more than twenty years. Although Alejandro always has been interested in photography, his passion for it began to fully develop over the last several years. He is a self-taught photographer who always seeks for quality and creativity in his artistic compositions. Alejandro primarily focuses on dance photography, due to his long involvement in the field. He also works, however, in different areas that draw his attention and inspire him. His photos have been used by different dance companies for both personal and commercial purposes, and several of them have been selected for display in various exhibitions such as the San Jose Historic Commission and the World Photography Organisation in London. Alejandro lives in San Jose, California, holds a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts from Saint Mary’s College of California, and works as a ballet teacher and free-lance photographer.
